Hi so I was wondering if I can upgrade my mobile gpu. I got the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600XT Pro 256 MB video card inside a Gateway One GZ7220 Computer. Can I just buy a better gpu with the same MXM-II connection and it will work? The computer has 180w.

Honestly, given the overall age of the platform, I wouldn't bother upgrading it. Isn't that card MXM II and not MXM III as well?

EDIT: Looking at it more closely, it looks like this isn't even a laptop, but an all in one?

Yeah I see now it's MXM II and not MXM IIl hehe. I was thinking since it has a dual core cpu and mine has 4gb of ram that upgrading the gpu would help out a lot I think. Yeah it's old but if I can spend under 100 bucks on a decent mobile gpu I thought maybe it can play a few games on low-medium? It's a all-in-on yeah, but I was wondering like in general can you upgrade these mobile gpus at all? Is there a way to find out, or is it based on the PSU inside how powerful the gpu can be?
