I am still patiently downloading Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag. I started noticing something strange though

The download is well....looks like the bars skip and then they appear and then reappear...and my time remaining changes alot during that time, so I can't get an exact estimate time. Is something wrong with my network or something?

dont think thats anything to worry about.
its just like a hard drive where info is kept all over the place and thats why we defrag. once loaded it all comes together as one item.

Yeah nothing to worry about at all.

To be honest looks like a graphical glitch but it could well be what MrDJ says, fragmented info.

Slowdowns in the network; it's normal. You can try changing your download region in the Steam settings to see if you could get a more consistent download stream.
