Just curious if anyone knows when hard releases were for notebooks with ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 in the USA. Does anyone have an idea?

I read somewhere that the X1600 was officially released Dec. 5th, 2005 but I'm not too sure about the exact date. But how long till it was in USA notebooks?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was around February of this year when they started showing up in notebooks.

You are correct winterymix. In January Core Duo was presented. 3 weeks after that notebooks with Core Duo and X1600 were on the market.

So the answer is: February 2006.

I believe the Acer TravelMate 8200 was the first notebook to have the X1600.
