Will it run on my Dell 9300 with 6800 and Does Fear have the round waiting thing where you have to wait for the round to end?

I just downloaded it yesterday. In the modes I've played (capture the flag and deathmatch) there was only a 0 to 5 second respawn wait, so no waiting for the round to end.

I'm sure the game will work on your lappy. You just might have to turn the graphics way down.

the question isn't whether it will RUN, but whether you have the time to download it. I was downloading on Thursday, and it was going to take over 30 HOURS!!! I had to cancel the download! Good luck, it might be faster now that the volume has gone down a little.

And yes, it will run on ur dell.

I was pretty sure it would run,and I just hate waiting for the round to end you get like no playing time like on America's Army, but its 5 second respawn which is great, are there alot of servers up?

there are quite a few servers.

get it from www.fileshack.com instead of joinfear.com

i'm running it fine on lower settings my i6000 at 1024x768 or whatever the widesrcreen resolution is with 2.0ghz pentium m 1gig ram 5400rpm hd and 128mb ati x300, though i have it overclocked quite a bit :D

also the round waiting depends on what type of game you do. the deathmatch and team death match are instant spawn.

yeah i got tired of that taking too long, when it got to 10 kbps and estimated 26 hours after i'd downloaded 60%, i had to quit and go fileshack. :D i even tried the torrent and couldn't beat fileshack's speed.

    Mines going on around 150kbps.

    How fast is filehshack?

    Free, Fileshack...

Im really starting to consider one of those subscribing services.

I have a 1.5mbps connection and its pretty stable at that speed.

I at least want to download around 500+kbps.

heh, like a sucker i went to sierra. i didnt even realize that 35:39:xx doesn't mean 35 hours, it means 35 days. i was going at a max of 9.8k. Then fileshack goes at 100+. Now I feel stupid. And now I hear fileplanet does ~350???

i'm happy with my unregistered 100+. i'm gonna be gone for about 5 hours anyway. and when you're switching from 35 days to 5 hours, that's waaaay more than fast enough.

    Way down?

The 6800 can run FEAR on 1280x768 on medium or even higher depending on the Variant of 6800 (provided you don't attempt to turn on soft shadows and AA at the same time obviously)....get your facts right! ;)
