Ok, so now i have a Go7600 on my laptop and an X1900GT on my desktop. Though i don't intend to watch Blu-ray or HD DVD, i still want to try those fancy stuffs to see if there's a difference. I've downloaded the AVIVO decoder, and honestly, i can't see any difference when playing a MPEG-2 movie. Same thing with Purevideo decoder, i installed it, play a DVD, and i look pretty much the same. And a strange thing is, after i installed purevideo decoder, ffdshow looks like crap. Then i installed Nero Showtime, and it looks wonderful, but ffdshow is still like crap. Finally, i installed WinDVD, and try to play the same clip simultaneously on both programs. Nero ended up the same as ffdshow. Did i somehow mess up my video codecs?
And by the way, what is the correct way to use Purevideo and AVIVO? (nVIDIA Forceware doesn't recognize my Go7600, i'm using laptopvideo2go mods)

anyone, please?

I think I once read a benchmark between AVIVO and PureVideo, search the internet, you might be able to find what tools to use.
