    hey guys,

First time posting, been browsing on these forums for a few months now. I have an ASUS F3SV-B1 model with the 8600M GS and I overclocked it to 600/500 (stock was 500/400), it idles at around 70c and gets as high as 85c when gaming. I am just wondering if that's normal and I apologize if I posted in the wrong forum or if this question has been asked allready. Thanks in advance

I'm no pro at telling the "righ" temp but your idle temp is a little high, but its an OC 8600M GS, my 8700M GT idles at 51c and capped at 69C during heavy gaming.

Thanks for the input, I was also wondering since I used RivaTuner to overclock mine, it says "128-bit G86 (A2, 16sp) with 256 MB DDR3", but I checked the asus website and it said that the graphics card is DDR2 so wtf.

hey, rivatuner has gone nuts....it shows my 8400GS as having GDDR3, when it only had ddr2....dont trust it...and btw, the 8600mGS is GDDR2

Someone here actually said that Rivatuner is designed for desktops not notebooks.
