Hello and greetings. Since the topic of how badly Nvidia has screwed up on their repeated latest driver offerings, I won't beat a dead horse here, because that has already been done many times already. What I want, is to install previous Nvidia releases- in particular, the one from this past July.
The latest Nvidia crapfest is the 358.XX drivers that are really screwing up our/my games, with lots of screen-tearing, jerky game play, and my 880m not being seen by any games like it used to in previous Nvidia drivers.
My system now acts like it has an AMD GPU in it, with the same poor game play and the GPU not being "seen" by any of my games. What I want to do, is to revert to previous Nvidia drivers that actually WORKED, but Win7 will not allow it.
I have checked with the Nvidia site for previous drivers, and didn't see them, and I have not been able to find a place anywhere else that has previously released driver packages.
Is there a place out there that has the 2015 releases to download and install?

I am no expert but I am not surprised at all at what is happening with your card not being recognized. As far as I'm concerned, it is more proof that they purposely cripple last Gen cards to force people to update. I also checked the NVIDIA site. Just a month or 2 ago they had previous versions that the geforce site didn't, and now they are all gone. Even more proof of their dirty tricks and criminal actions. I also checked drivercollection.com and they only have one driver for windows 7 now too. I think it was from Jan 2014. Previous drivers look to have mysteriously disappeared from everywhere. I don't know of anywhere else, I do know that NVIDIA needs to have the crap sued out of them for multiple actions they have taken over the last year and a half. It's amazing how every thing, person and company in the world is corrupt now and nothing can be done about it anymore.

Not 100% sure they archive older drivers but try Guru3D

Yeah man, sorry. Something must have happened on my end or there was a quick site glitch but they are there. No crisis yet.

Also try laptopvideo2go.com. It's a site for modded drivers but they usually have the original driver also.

When you click on the Drivers tab and then click on All NVIDIA Drivers, you come to a page where you can select Beta and Older Drivers through a link on the page. When you do that, at least for me, it shows all the previous drivers? After selecting the GPU, OS, etc...

Thanks one and all for this. Most appreciated.
I found a decent Nvidia driver release from a few months ago, and now things
are back to normal, with Bioshock and Skyrim now not only seeing that I have a 880m, but that the games are now playing as they should.
This is good to know for future reference when dealing with crappy new Nvidia releases that turn my Laptop into an AMD machine. -

What is your experience in dealing with Modded drivers?
Many here have used them, but how much do you trust them or the people who have created them?
With Nvidia putting out some latest crapdrivers (358.XX) that royally screw up our systems, has anyone out there had really good success or bad luck with any Modded drivers?
Years ago when I owned an Clevo with a 7970m, there was a guy on another site- Lee Koo (?), who modded the newest AMD CCC drivers to greatly reduce the problems with Enduro, as well as modding the then-latest Nvidia drivers releases. He got really good feedback from everyone for his efforts.
They worked really well for awhile, but he kind of disappeared from that site, and was not heard from again, despite his well-appreciated efforts.
I don't think it's the same guy who doing this for Laptopvideo2go, though. -

I am currently using Mr. Fox's modded 344.75 along with the new Bios A12. Very stable . There is slight throttling every few minutes that only lasts for a second or 2 and it is slight. Might drop from max down to 930 or so, then kicks right back up.

@transphasic I used to use lapvideo2go.com site when I started using my 980ms in my 18. Since at the time my PC didn't support them and the drivers would not install the regular way. I learned how to modd my own drivers and stopped going to that site. It is a very good site. I learned from J95 over at Techno Inferno. Right now I don't need modded drivers any more since Dell released a new bios a12 for the aw18
@Awhispersecho if your having throttling issues try out Perma vbios, no matter what driver I use I'm always rock steady thanks to his vbios. He's also over at techno inferno. Both guys can also be found on these forums, but your best bet is that site for them.transphasic and Awhispersecho like this. -

Thanks.
Does anyone know if there are modded 358.XX drivers out there?
I didn't see any from Laptopvideo2go site.
Is Mr.Fox still modding drivers?
I would like to be able to use the newest 358.XX releases, but they are messing up my Laptop big time, and would love an alternative.
My Clevo/Sager just can't tolerate these newest Nvidia releases,
and the only possible way to use them is if they are modified to work. -

Thx man, I have the svl7 Vbios but it's not currently installed since lately nothing I am playing needs it. Also a paid member of techinferno, or I am supposed to be anyway. I have recurring payments but as of now no elite status. Is there a difference in the vbios from Prema? Thought they were one in the same.

In my replacing my 7970m with a 680m the difference was marginal performance wise.TomJGX likes this.
