Hey guys, I need this information quick. I'm at an airport and just saw Gears of War for PC. I need to go through baggage check in like 25-20 mins, so I really need a fast answer. Here are my specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 GHz, rated at 4.4GHZ (according to system requirements lab)
1GB of RAM (I know it sucks, but I'm upgrading soon, so keep that in mind)
Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT, running modded driver version 169.04, O/C at 550/475, around 4200 3dMarks (06)
Windows Vista
Thanks, and if you can't answer by the next 20mins, its ok, answer nevertheless, I will check when I get out of the plane. Thanks!

Yea it will, dunno how well with that 1 gig of ram but yes for sure.
-
i don't know why this would be so urgent but yes you will be able to run it. probably at low to med settings with low fps.
they made significant graphical improvement over the Xbox 360 version for the PC. -
good, and on what settings, more or less?
-
medium but increase the ram
-
You people sure? I'm getting about 30+ FPS with highest settings on 1280*800 (not constant) 1280*720 (better), without dx-10 and anti-aliasing of course. Specs about the same as his, cept that i have 3gb of ram and a 2.0 processor.

Vista with 1GB of ram is almost a shame. There is barely enough RAM for Vista, let alone programs. Let's just hope he installed the RAM Fix patch for Vista.
-
Actually Epic did a good job porting GoW to PC I can run this game 30FPS+ most of the time with highest settings.
video card overclocked to core 600 mem 460. 169.04 driver
But I didn't buy pc version because I have GoW on xbox360 already. I only borrow this game from friend to see the extra stages that I missed on xbox360.
2 or 3GB ram will help out vista greatly. -
Hey guys I just got out of my flight, and ended up buying the game.
I have the windows classic theme enabled so I use less RAM, and I almost never have unnecessary processes running on the background. I also sometimes use ReadyBoost with a 2GB flash drive, but I will soon be upgrading to 2 GB of ram. Thanks! -
All of the vista updates required for better gaming performance including this once are explained and linked to on this site
