    Hello all,

please i will buy a laptop ASAP , so i need ur help

    and it's DELL inspiron 6400 :
    Core 2 Due 2 GHZ/4MB Cache , 1GB RAM , 120 GB HDD 5400 RPM, 256MB ATI Radeon X1400 , bluetooth,wireless,smart card reader,With Windows XP Home Edition ,..etc

i read in this topic ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=61442 ) .. some notes about 256 mb ATI X1400 card about 2 cases

first 1 :"256MB ATI Radeon X1400 HyperMemory." It is not all dedicated, rather 128MB dedicated + 128MB shared.

and second one has no information ,

so i want to know about 2nd one , is it all 256 mb dedicated, i mean it didn't take any memory from RAM ! , or what?

and the most important question , how to know the difference between both of this VGA Cards through windowx XP

    Kind Regards.

The X1400 that the Dell 6400 has is 128MB dedicated + 128MB shared.

    X1400s with 256MB dedicated don't exist.

You could fill out the FAQ if you are looking for a notebook.
