    Hey guys,
Wanted to know if I receive a code for friend to try out Starcraft II if I downloaded it directly through Blizzard's client, as I thought this to be the case. I've a buddy who'd like to try it out on his machine, and I thought that I received a redemption code of some sort. Any info would help.

    Thanks!

Since I downloaded SCII from Blizzard directly, am I not entitled to a promotional code for 10 hours of free play for a friend? Or were there never free redemption codes to begin with?

Or, did the codes just come with the boxed versions?

If you meant the guest passes, buying boxed copies will give you 2 guest passes for SC2 and 2 for WoW but I'm not exactly sure about digital downloads though o_o

Perhaps ask blizzard directly will give you best answer.

They only came with the retail forms of the game. You still have to DIGITALLY download the client play. Unless you use your friends install disc of course.

Guest passes for 7 hours of StarCraft II play were only given to those who purchased retail boxed versions of the game. For those who purchased the Digital Download, you get no guest passes.
