'Kay so i'm looking for a fairly recent RPG game that isn't online since I can't stick to them and isn't Oblivion or Neverwinter Nights 1/2...I already have those and have completed them many times. Although the one thing that I would like is romance options like in the neverwinter seiries since that was always fun, but if not... just a generally good offline RPG to get hooked into.

    So, any suggestions?

The Witcher is very good. kinda like Oblivion but better quests in my opinion. Get the newest version cuz the older 1 was full of bugs...

The witcher would be a good choice.
And to a certain extent Marvel:Ultimate Alliance.

If you don't mind waiting, pick up the Enhanced Edition when it's released in the Autumn. It improves many aspects of an already great game and fixes many technical problems running the game.

If you like NWN and don't mind playing older games check out the Baldur's Gate series. Newer games that play similar are Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, and Jade Empire (little more combat based).
If you are looking for something a little different check out Vampire: Masquerade Bloodlines (only 1 I like so far that I've listed).
The Witcher is good but I've shelved it until the enhanced version is released and I would recommend you wait until then since almost every aspect is supposed to be improved.

The Witcher is an enjoyable RPG and probably should be your 1st choice. Unlike the others, though, I think you should pick it up now and play it. Any tech issues were fixed with patches, and the additions to the enhanced edition will be available free to anyone who has purchased the current edition. I played through it a few months ago, and plan on running through it when the new features are released.

Also, NWN2 has an adventure pack 'Mysteries of Westgate' that is awaiting ATARI's DRM release. It looks good from what I've seen and should add 15-20 hours of new gameplay.

Highly recommend The Witcher, especially if you liked NWN2 + Expansion.

No need to wait for enhanced edition really. The inventory system isnt that difficult to navigate and the dialogue and amount of character models is very good.
