On many PC games I see the min. requirement in terms of graphic cards is the Radeon 8500. I have checked through the forums here and I am finding little information on how well this card performs. The reason for my asking is that according to srtest.com my Xpress 200m is not as powerful as the 8500 which I don't believe. What do you guys think?

well the x200 is an integrated card and many new games simply won't run at all on it (or at a playable framerate)

The Radeon 8500 was never released in a notebook forum, so you wouldn't find that information here.

The X200M would be faster in the latest games, and unlike the 8500, it fully supports DX9.0. The 8500 does not.

The 8500 is a DX8.1 based card, in terms of DX8 performance it is between a 9600np and 9600pro. It will best the x200 in all circumstances that dont require a dx9 chip. Wikipedia have a good article on it actually. I had one when they first came out.

    8500 is a desktop card.

your integrated card is bottom of the barrel for gaming, so dont expect superb FPS, or great settings.

    pb,out.

Neither the X200M nor the 8500 will play the latest games playably (if you classify bare minimum settings and such as playable - forget it). The X200M will not be an improvement from the 8500.

The 8500 was a good card in its time, but is now much outdated. Consider a better graphics card if you are going to replace it.
