    I have just ordered my laptop and since i need it immediately,i just ordered one with the Radeon HD 6570M,i would like to know whether it is enough to play games like crysis and crysis 2? Well,my laptop specs are : i7 2630qm,8 gb RAM (though you may need this to answer whether i would be able to play the game ). Also,is this graphics card better or is the nvidia 9400 GT better?

    Well, the 6570M is a contemporary mid-range class card.
    It should do fine in both Crysis games, but that also depends on the settings and res you decide to play on since those 2 particular games could be more demanding the higher you go.

    What type of VRam is on that gpu of yours?
    Is it DDR3 or DDR5?
    DDR5 will inherently behave better/faster than the DDR3 because of a higher bandwidth.

    9400 GT?
    Are we talking about the desktop version or the mobile?
    I think the 6570M should be better/faster than both the mobile version (most definitely) and the desktop one.

    its indeed faster since its faster than the 4670, so faster than the 9500 gt.

    No you can't upgrade it. Almost all consumer mainstream (mid-end) laptops has the GPU is soldered on the motherboard and it is not removable.

    Comes with GDDR5 so you can look up the performance of the HD5670 desktop card.

    HD6570M = 625/900 (possibly 625/800 in the HP)
    HD5670 = 775/1000

    Obviously there is a core clock difference, but you should be able to get quite close with OCing, maybe 750/950.

    *sigh* I remember volt modding a 5670, got it to 1100mhz core...

    Basically the run-down is, your new laptop will run both Cry and Cry 2 reasonably well (over 40 frames per second) on all high (not hardcore a.k.a. very high) settings. And that, you can get even more juice out of the 6570 by overclocking (at least another 10~20% performance gain).

    Thanks, +1 to you...but "over clocking" ? I want to maximise my performance gain,can you please tell me how i can get more out of it by over clocking?

    You run the chip faster than stock by using a program like MSI afterburner (you need to unlock by adding a line in the cfg file) or Sapphire trixx (works straight away).

    This will produce more heat and if you run it too fast it will crash (system will just restart and stock speeds).

    By testing you can find the fastest it will go and still be stable, you then back it off a little to allow a safety margin and now it can run 20% or more faster than stock speeds.

    Eg:

    725/800 to 870/960 would likely give a 20% framerate boost in games.

    30fps to 36fps for instance.

    Gotcha ! Though no idea on how i use those programs and back it off and set it properly to get 20% boost , i get the basic idea ! Gotta google it to understand it completely now,thanks :)

    Just remember to take it slow and watch your temps.
