after analyzing all results, fps and every single test, my conclusion is: the better card is the card with came with highest standard clocks on his bios, because the vbios are designed for!
maybe if we have an possibility of exchange our vbios to you use mine vbios, the results could be the same !

Still within the margin of error. P6932 vs P7048 at same clocks is only ~1.6% difference. Yours has 2GB VRAM while mine has 1GB VRAM. If VRAM usage exceeds 1GB, then my 7690M will incur a performance penalty. Results are not conclusive to indicate that chips are of different quality.

In essence, 7690M is a rehashed 6750M @1.00V and 7690M XT is a rebranded 6770M @1.05V. If all 4 Whistler chips are at the same clocks with same voltage, they will perform similarly. Remember that AMD does binning, so the same chip can be used in many different parts.

Looks to me that 7690M has nearly identical performance to XT up to a certain point when XT can overclock further. There is about 5% difference to Lenovo card, but perhaps that can be attributed to drivers.

you guys are right, its the same chip, same card, same components but the vbios its different and make some differences

Wow. 900 / 1100? That thing can OC like crazy. You got lucky with the RAM too, usually you can't push it that far. I expected the GPU to do a little better since it's a die shrink, but RAM.

The 7690m/7690m XT aren't even die shrinks. Still 40nm. Maybe AMD did some optimizations to the chip, but why would they still be calling it Whisler if that's the case..? I'm just thinking he just got lucky with the binning/the card isn't fully stable at those speeds.

True, could be stable for the bench but not for gaming.

its not stable at all, in game peformance is too poor, but i didnt try 900/110 with another voltage, maybe thats d problem.
the most stable at stock voltage (1.05) is 900/1000, i was test all game i have; GTA4, BF3, DIRT3, COD MW3 and i See about 10 FPS boost on each game

It will do, it will be identical in performance to 3550MX + 6750M (if non-XT)

Can someone verify this once and for all?

    1. Is the 7690m a rebranded 6750m or 6770m?

    2. Is the 7690m and the 7690m XT exactly the same card with same clocks?

    7690m is rebranded 6750m.

They are different cards, one is 6750m and another 6770m. They have different stock clocks and the latter one can be overvolted and reach higher overclock figures. However at the same clocks they perform nearly the same.

the 7690 looks decent, especially with a $850 setup on the hp dv6t, but something about HP turned the interest off for me. Not too many videos on youtube of people playing with a 7690; pretty sure it's only 1 user right now that has uploaded videos

7690m has JUST BEEN RELEASED. Very few people have these machines yet. It's basically the 6750m / 6770m (XT).

I posted these benches in another thread in the lenovo section, but i think it is worth posting here as well. These tests were all taken in the y470p with an i7 2670qm, 8gb ram, and 7690m

Stock scores are when GPU clocks are at:
    725mhz core clock
    900mhz memory clock

O/C scores are when GPU clocks are at:
    800mhz core clock
    1000mhz memory clock
(I found these clocks to be the most stable.)

    Stock 3dmark11 - 1360
    O/C 3dmark11 - 1484

    Stock 3dmark Vantage - 5707
    O/C 3dmark Vantage - 6343

    Stock 3dmark06 - 9493
    O/C 3dmark06 - 10334

And here is a pic of the temps while running all 3 O/C benchmarks according to HWmoniter

    thankyou for this bench's.
Are you sure you arent in battery while testing? or maybe using a low performance profile.
    your scores its too low.
you have same cpu As i mine, your gpu its 100mhz stock above than my. You did Stay with HWmonitor opened while running the test's? 56 ºc its too low for a GPU temp on notebook, are you sure have a notebook ? LOL

i actually did. The problem was that i havent updated Service packs of the game. With service pack one and tested i got around 25fps. Still nto what i expect because in comparision with the 1gb 4650HD that had vista and 4 gigs ram (3 gigs effective) ran actually smoother. But that had Service pack 2. So im now installing Sp2. And will give it a go and update you if any improvements occur.

TO be honest i was expecting 60+ Frames.
With double the ram. Double the video card of 7000 series comapred to 4000 series and Strong Core i7 2670 QM , there are no excuses for that to occur.
On the other hand. im suffering from inability to Update my windows as well. I've got this laptop for a couple of days now and every single day this error comes up as i check for updates , 80072efe...It could probably explain why graphic card may not run very smooth with the current system?
    Im not sure :(.

all tests were taken while plugged in, high performance, and HWmoniter was open while taking all three O/C tests.

while O/C, the highest temp i've seen in game is 59*C
