Can someone tell me specifically if this video card will:
play warcraft 3
play Battle for Middle Earth (1 or when 2 comes out)
How much RAM should I use?
Will I be wasting my money on anything over 1GB? I know that your Vid card should be compliant with the amount of RAM you have; i.e., the more RAM I have may not matter if this card can't utilize it. So, go for the 2BG RAM instead of 1 GB? how about 512?
thanks in advance guys. I know there is a vid card thread, but it is not this specific.

A good general amount of RAM to have is 1GB, unless you are a big gamer or need maximum performance, you don't need 2GB. The X300 is a decent card and will easily play Warcraft III (I played it on my 3 year old laptop with a 16MB Nvidia card fairly decently) but I am unsure of the other game, but I would say it would probably at least play it, probably not at maximum settings if it is very graphically demanding. Is the X300 a 64MB or 128MB?

What is the laptop model?
Well, it looks like you need a notebook recommendation - in the What Should I Buy forum, we have a What Should I Buy FAQ you can fill out - just create a new thread and post that, and based on your responses, we can advise you on a notebook.
