Hi, I recently installed Rage on my computer (2630qm, 6970m (latest 12.4), 8gb ram) I seem to be getting slow texture loading and I cant find a way to fix the pop in. I also seem to be getting a little stutter.
    Can anyone help?

I'm not sure if they ever fixed it up... But when the game came out, issues like this were so bad they prevented me from playing at all.

Moral hazard - try the 2 GB one as 6970m is a 2GB card but there still seem to be pop up and slow loading textures. Any other ways of fixing it?

tyranids - do you know any solutions?

In the m18x forum there is a Rage thread and post 33 tells how to add rageconfig.cfg that contains:

    vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 16384
    vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 16384
    vt_pageimagesizeunique 16384
    vt_pageimagesizevmtr 16384
    vt_restart

    put the file in: Steam\SteamApps\common\rage\base

also make sure the in game texture cashe setting in on large. On mine there is still a small amount of popin but not much.
