I tried playing Diablo (the first one) yesterday, and from the opening movie and on (except the main menu) everything's looked odd. The borders of things are very blocky and the colours are screwed up. The main game is completely rainbow. Seriously. XD I've already tried tweaking Diablo's limited visual options; no luck.

    Note that:

-I have Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Prince of Persia Warrior Within and Halo 1 also installed on my laptop, as well as emulators for SNES, GBA and Genesis, all of which run just fine with no problems whatsoever, colour-related or otherwise.
-My copy of Diablo is in no way corrupt or defective, as it runs on my desktop with no problems whatsoever.

-There are no other problems occuring with Diablo; it's just the choppy edges and the colour. I can still play the game...but everything is rainbow.

    So, what's going on?

Load a win98 partition. I have XP Pro and can't run either of the Diablo's. I actually have a desktop box that is running linux and Win98 so I can still play diablo on it :D

Right-click the Diablo.exe icon. Go to properties and let it run under Windows XP/Windows 2000 and change the colors to 256 bit.
