R6 Vegas 2 aint my favourite game of the series, but when played in Coop is was a blast.

Hopefully Ubisoft wont screw this one up by making it too CoD / BF'ish.

The thought that xbox and PS3 is still going to be around and strong and kicking in 2013 when this game is expected to come out has me scratching my head..... I was hoping we'd see something new by 2013

Rogue Spear + Raven Shield are my favorite R6 games. Too bad they won't make the games like that anymore (because of the complexity). It took some time/planning but was very rewarding.

WOAH that's a huge wait for its release!

I had a blast with Vegas 2 co-op (played with my brother) and would recommend it to anyone seeking an extremely fun co-op experience.

This series as well as Splinter Cell and Marvel Ultimate Alliance have been my favourite 2-man co-ops with my brother in the last few years.

Couldn't agree more. And the Multiplayer gameplay in Spies vs Mercenaries was awesome.

Tom Clancy, Tom Clancy, Tom Clancy, should've known you'd take a pot-shot at the Occupy Wall Street movement:

We certainly wouldn't want the "homegrown self-labeled-patriotic terrorists" in your game to look like actual home-grown self-labeled-patriotic terrrorists, like say, Timothy McVeigh.

Anyway, I'll keep my eye on it, but the last Ubisoft/Tom Clancy game that really excited me was Ghost Recon (the first game with its two expansion packs).

There are lots of groups that want to overthrow the government and behead corporate America. I certainly doubt that the OWS movement, which consists of hippies hanging out in a park, is going to be on anyone else's mind as the real life analog of the True Patriots.

Focusing on "corporate America" is something I associate with hippies in drum circles, not right-wing survivalists like Timothy McVeigh. Given Tom Clancy's open contempt of liberals of all colors (it's throughout his books), I thought it was an awfully big coincidence for the terrorists in his new game to be anti-"corporate America" right in the middle of anti-"corporate America" OWS protests.

I wasn't the only person out there who linked the premise of this game to OWS protests. Other people have made the same connection, regardless of whether they hate OWS:

The Weathermen. The Earth Liberation Front. The Symbionese Liberation Army. The May 19th Coalition. They're not as common now as in the 70s, but liberal terrorist groups do exist and have existed for a long time.

The trailer is nice, but I'm not liking the gameplay from that trailer. Seems to me Ubisoft are dumbing down Rainbow 6 so much that they now have to give x-ray vision to players and display big KILL ME icons on top of the enemies.. -.- I'll never like a Rainbow 6 game that isn't challenging at all. I miss Raven Shield, that game was real nice & extremely challenging, I had so much fun with friends in coop.

I would be okay with the whole Xray crap IF he had a helmet or similar equipped.
    He does not.

Hopefully it wont end up like CoD meets R6.

They went to great lengths to explain that there was no gameplay being demoed in the trailer.

    I'm a second for missing RS3.

Remember, Tom Clancy is also the one who jumped the shark when he changed the "ghost" in Ghost Recon from ghillie suits and stealth to magic invisibility suits in the teaser for the latest GR game.

I think the zenith of Tom Clancy/Ubisoft tactical shooters has come and gone.

Cloaking devices that offer degrees of invisibility are right on the edge of technology. If the game is set in the future, I have no problem with it from a continuity / suspension of disbelief perspective.

I'm not sure how well it will translate to interesting gameplay, though...

I take more of an issue with the magical fire bullets in L4D2 set in modern times than active camo in the future.

I was never too into ghost recon, but I also fear the worst for R6, based on recent releases.
