i WASthinking about getting it, but i hear the MP is completely dead, and the singleplayer might not be worth 10$
-
i just purchased it...
hope it was worth it
(i alread beat single player on 360... so hoping it was worht the $$ for multi)
-
wow, too bad i diddnt see this 5 mins ago
-
single player was pretty good IMO. fairly realistic in terms of damage you can take, as well as the AI's tactics. for 10$, i'd get the game.
-
Loved the single player but hated the MP.
-
i got it
10 bucks whatever i bought it for my friend too so we could play up coop -
MP is dead, but SP is well worth 10$ IMO (I paid 50$ 6 months ago and am happy with my purchase)
edit: Maybe I'm having MP problems due to having an out of date version, but even a few months ago, it wasn't that populated.
edit 2: And I'd be up for some co-op sometime
-
great game. highly reccomended.
-
anything by ubi-gay stay away from.
Take it from an r6 fan, vegas 1 was bad althought we played it until no one was online...vegas2 is even worst in multiplayer.
I guess sp and co-op are not too bad so it might be worth the 10 bucks for you. But if its someone thats looking for an MP game, STAY AWAY!
you can always come over to the dark side (cod4)....we have cookies?

hmmm a COD fan trying to convert us eh?
Ubisoft is a fine company the new prince of perisa was good i cant wait till the prince of persia pack goes on sale.
QUESTION:Rainbow six vegas 2 guys does it have 360 controller support? -
IMO they make good games, but it's definitely nothing like the original R6. They make good games, although they are rather dumbed-down consolish type games. It's kind of a shame, but that's what the majority of people are looking for now.
But yeah, CoD4 was fun, I got tired of the MP after a while though, haven't played it for quite a few months though. -
Bah I am waiting for something like a "Ubisoft complete package sale," which they did with id and Eidos.
I already played the heck out of this on the 360 (99% in co-op terrorist hunt), so I'm gonna skip this one.
Rogue Spear was, and is still, my favorite R6 game. -
Just got it. Yes it does support 360 controller. I just played first level and I love it already. Although I can't seem to login and get online, any suggestions from someone that owns the steam version. I've googled the prob and seems alot of people can't log in, but the single player is definitley worth 10 bucks in my opinion.
-
Make your account on ubi.com and you can log in fine.
Also now that the game is 10 bucks for the weekend I am sure a couple thousand more people are going to be playing MP for a while. I was able to find a game when ever I wanted to play the last two days.
Its fun and for 10 bucks is there anything to complain about? -
How do I go about making an account on ubi.com?
I'm not familiar with doing such a thing. Can you please give me a step by step walk through. -
lol, not to be offensive, but, really? You must have done something similar to sign up on this website.
Go to http://www.ubi.com
Click "sign in"
Click "Register Now"
Make your login. -
if it's not tactical anymore (IGN) then what's the point? Call of Duty 4 in hotels? No thanks.

masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
i miss ravenshield.
thanks for noting the multiplayer is dead. almost bought that sucker for $10. -
Red_Dragon Notebook Nobel Laureate
its kinda surprising it $10 when they recently had two game that were $20 for only $5 (Stalker and Bioshock)
-
Hahahah, ok. I thought he meant something like registering or hacking some server by turning off my firewall and allowing my router settings to be changed or something like that.
But anyway how would registering at ubi.com give me a way to log in a versus mode when I play the Steam version of R6v2? I know how to register but then what?
And on another note, the game does bring back memories of the original Rainbow 6 games without the tedious complications of setting up way points that can take hours, but lets you do it on the fly where you place your men.
So it has been refined and simplified yet keeps that strategic feel.
And the terrorist hunt again makes me reminisce of the originals where you set up the map and choose difficulty and how many terrorist you're gonna have to eliminate, so it kinda makes up for me not being able to get online until I find a solution to it.
But this game is highly underated, even the user reviews tend to think this way as compared to the official gaming site reviews that give the game a lower score because the tech a year ago couldn't handle the graphics, but it plays maxed out at 40+ fps now on my 9700m gts. -
at least the original vegas was sort of realistic, but with the inclusion of the "me to" sprinting function R6 is no longer the tactical games it used to be.
-
The original with the Expansion Eagle Watch was the best. I played that game so hard on my imac back in the day! Its all run and gun now thanks to Halo and Gears of War no one wants anything else.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2: $10 on Steam this weekend only.
