    Hi guys,

The game Rainbow Six:Vegas looks interesting to me, but unfortunately, I can't find a PC demo on the net. Only a XBox360 Demo is around. Can anyone give me a site where I can find a PC demo or isn't there any?

OK guys, thank you for your answers! Really a pitty, there's no demo. The atmosphere of the Vegas casinos and stuff is fascinating to me (visited Vegas 2 times until now, unfortunately under 21 years of age...), so I thought this game could be interesting.
I also read about the performance issues, that was one thing I wanted to test. But as you write that the performance is horrible, it is no longer interesting to me. Our systems should performe pretty the same, so it's nothing for me.

Get the 360 version if you can. It's a really good game, but I hear the PC version has steep system requirements.

i have RS: Vegas for PC, i run it on my e1705.
graphics seem pretty good, i can run it at max, but get a relatively sluggish frame rate. i've backed it down to 1024x768 and it seems ok. as someone said, the req. are steep. when the game installed, all my components passes req. except my CPU. they say a 3.0GHz, 3.5 recommended. I have a 1.8GHz dual. my results..... game plays fairly well... except...
    1. i've gotten the BSOD three times in the past few days of play
    2. under load (either lots of moving scenery or lots of enemy AI) the screen freezes... audio continues for about 10 seconds (so i still know whats going on). then everything completely hangs for about 6 more seconds. Then the screen refreshes and im back in play. until another situation with lots of AI or lots of moving scenery.

overall, im impressed it plays as well as it does with the 1.8 dual, and not the rec. 3.0GHz.

oh, i also have the GeForce Go 7800 (stock drivers), and 1GB of RAM.

    Hope that helps someone!

I've played it on my 6400 with a T7200 and X1400. The 3.0ghz rating is for pentium 4 class cpus and dosen't apply to the more efficient Core architecture. I run the game all on low unfortunately but it plays surprisingly well, and it still looks fantastic. I've played it on the xbox 360 as well and its as good on both systems. If I can play it reasonably ok on a weakling of a X1400 then a 7900gs will be much better. Although I do have 2GB of ram if that makes any difference. I'd say chance it and make sure you patch it. I did get a small few crash to desktops but no BSOD's.
