Been searching Google for an answer to this but haven't been able to find a straight answer. In the original Rainbow Six: Vegas, can the single-player story be played through online co-op? The sites I've looked at have been vague on this detail. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

i dont know personally but let me ask you something, do you actually own the game or thinking of buying it, if you didnt buy it, Get Vegas 2, since it runs better than the first installment and it has Single player Coop

I don't own it but was going to buy the first game because it's only $20 right now. R6V 2 is still $50. I'd play it online with a friend of mine and wouldn't want him to spend $50 either.

It has single player co-op in the way that you can do all the missions online with a friend, but they don't have the whole cutscenes and stuff int he storyline. You can play all the singleplayer missions, ,just without a lot of the plot

That's cool. Do you have to have beaten the single-player mode first in order to unlock all the missions for co-op? Or can we just jump into the first mission and play the story from there?

Co-op story can be played with up to 4 people and doesn't have to be unlocked. It includes the briefing/debriefing in-game scenes, usually occurring on the helicopter.

FYI, RSV2 has on-line co-op story with only 2 people. You can get it pretty cheap, if you like ebay. (<20.00)
