just curious, whats the outlook on laptops running a 8600gt-8700gt for this game? i really hope i can play it with my 8700gt because this game is supposed to be really nice and i could use a break from the run and gun mayhem on cod4.

Nice... Think I can play it.
-
I hope they do a better port job than with the first one. BTW, I played it on my roommates 360 and it's pretty cool so far.
-
looking at those system specs i should be able to play it, but i wonder how well it will run **remembers the first r6v** the game looks spectacular tho
-
hmm looks like i gotta wait to see if i should get rainbow six vegas 2 or Call of duty 4
-
get COD4, I heard the story on vegas 2 is so so. MP on COD4 is the best
-
Isn't the PC version supposed to have a more involved single player story though than the consoles? I thought I heard that. I hope its true because I liked the first Vegas quite a bit. I'm not all that interested in multiplayer.
-
i heard the multiplayer on r6v2 is awesome, that is what im really looking forward to hearing about

This game better not be as horribly optimized as the first one!
-
What are the new features and improvements on this one?
-
the graphics are better this time around, but other than that the game is very similar to the last one. Of course, I haven't played it much.
-
I beat the single player and play online about 2 hours every night. It is a great game, hopefully the port is better for PC this time aorun.
I like the multi player better than COD4 only b/c cod4 is the new halo on xbox live, all those darn little kids shouting and cursing, etc. really gets on my nerves.
The multi is awesome with a group of friends that you know, especially modes like team leader and conquest.
I recommend everyone try out the multiplayer, it is a real blast. -
I'll let you guys see if the game runs any better than the first one. I really want the second one for the multiplayer, but if it is crappy running I won't get it.
If it is as bad as the first one I can get the cpu to run it ... but won't have any money left over to buy the game. -
There are also tons more weapons, most notably, the m468 an M4 carbine variant as well as the ak-47u, silenced sniper rifle, and a few others that are fun.
Also, you can now equip your gun with an extended magazine rather than a scope, which i like to do
My recommendation is the FAMAS with extended round magazine. I never really scope in to kill and it kills quick, just have to be accurate with the reticle. Also, g3ka4 and m468 are both nasty. For the SMG's, p-90 absolutely dominates....actually quite cheap gun imo.
Also, the graphics are slightly, not much, improved. There are some framerate issues with the xbox version, not sure what bearing that has on the PC port. -
I've seen the Xbox frame rate problems. I was playing 2 player on the Xbox and the frame rate just went through the toilet for no reason.
-
Frame rate issues have been happening with all the newer games, Mass Effect, Assassins's Creed, RB6-2, Bioshock. I think it's that time in the whole console cycle that PC hardware really starts pulling away from the 360 architecture.
