This is getting quite annoying. When i play the game, it will randomly freeze and play the current sound it froze on over and over again. I have an ATI 1700x and I thought it should run the game fine. My other computer has a Geforce 5200 with no freezing. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have the same problem. It happens. There are a few possible reasons for this. One is that it's a soundcard crash, try all the steps on steams website to try (doubt it'll work but who knows).
One of the possible reasons I was told it could be is the soundcard conflicting with other hardware, so you could try using a pcmcia sound card and see if that helps.
All i know is that its really annoying and theres not much you can do about it unfortunately, well not much that worked for me -
I have the same problem, but with GO7600 and Oblivion
. I guess it's because of the low amount of RAM i have (1GB) and slow HDD - 5400rpm, so it takes some time for the HDD to write to RAM

Try also updating your DirectX drivers. After I did this, I haven't experienced any of the freezing+looping sound crashes since.

download the latest drivers.

We have a driver update guide here you can look at:

Just to make sure, I uninstall the Catalyst Control Center right? Im not sure when you mean the term "drivers"

Also see if its Windows firewall or a seperate firewall that could be blocking it. That happened to me with Comodo firewall and it created the sound looping effect. If you have real-time protection from an anti-virus turn that off too.

Oh no, I am in the problem. When i tried installing it, it says the setup couldnt find a driver compatible with my hardware or OS.... I wasnt smart and delete my current driver and tried to install the latest one.
