With all of these hack attacks of late(most recently, Bioware/EA), is it only a matter of time before, say, my Steam account gets hacked? Should I remove my credit card information? I think forcing myself actually to go get my wallet every time I want to impulse buy a game might severely reduce Steam's annual sales figures...

But seriously, is it only a matter of time?

Does anyone else find it odd the timing of these hacks? Almost like it's all planned?

If you give in and start deleting your information on various sites, I suggest you just remove your internet access completely and move to a cave. The terrorists will then win.

    No one likes privacy anymore?

I actually never store CC info on steam nor Amazon; too risky. As long as the consumer is responsible for having their identity stolen, then it makes sense to be skeptical and "smart" about your info.

As a side question, has Microsoft ever been hacked?

It is about how people react to this sorts of things. You can use the internet and be scared about whatever you store in there. Use virus scans to protect you against virus, use spyware software to check for keylogs etc. Delete all important information about you, etc. Or you can just give a damn and know that what happens happens and that we have systems that protect us if our information winds up in the wrong hands. An example would be that my bank would pay me every single dime back if my VISA card information was misused by hackers.

Frankly I choose to sit back and enjoy the show rather than letting this impact my life. These hack incidents is comparable to the fear mongering we see at the airports because of terror and such

Okay so there is a way to end Lulzsec´s shenanigans! They tweeted that if Barrack Obama would wear a shoe on his head during his next speach, Lulzsec would seize all future hacking! Lol! Like thats ever gonna happen.... i still find their humor funny.

Lulzsec have been hacked and information about several of them are already on the internet. TeaMp0isoN is going to release everything they know about LulzSec soon.

First there was the hacker group TeaMp0isonN that hacked one of the Lulzsec members website and posted a hilarious youtube video. You can see a mirror of the site when it was hacked here (notice the video and how nicely it fit the lulzboat) :p :
    sven-slootweg.nl hacked by TeaMp0isoN
Read about it here: LulzSec hacked by TeaMp0isoN - Yahoo! News

Then few days after another hackers attacked LulzSec. He is called The Jester and have released information about the leader of LulzSec on twitter.
    Read about it here:

Later another hacker joined in and took down LulzSec`s website.

So yeah, LulzSec is fuc*ed and should be looking for some jailtime soon :)
