Already used Kingpinzero's guide and removing registry via this thread: How to: Remove your Nvidia GPU Drivers.
/: any help
Before doing this. On 302.xx, uninstalled ALL nvidia components through "add or remove programs" and updated to 304.xx (laptop video 2 go universal).
Now I am reinstalling the SAME driver and getting this issue. Any help? I don't want to reinstall win7.

just read that post and ive never had any problems at all in the last 4 years of removing drivers in safe mode with either driver sweeper, driver cleaner pro and cc cleaner.
each one of them finds nvidia crap so this could be why people say they are no good as theres always something left that the other cleaners find. -
I used Revo and Driver sweeper, still no joy with a newer ver (305.53 modded)
-
ive never used lv2go drivers so have no idea about modded inf's
when you rund driver sweeper do you do it in safe mode. this is the only way to get rid of a lot of the crap.
walkthrough in sig below.
this is a good page to keep handy as it has the last 15 whql and beta drivers without modification http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us -
Official nVIDIA WHQL drivers does not work in my 630M unfortunately /:
But I will try the Beta ones to see if they work.
Oh, I already ran Driver sweeper in safe mode btw. -
did you get a driver disc with your lappy. might be worth going back to the ones that were supplied with it until something is sorted with nvidia.
mine came with 302.71 which must be oem release only as not on nvidia site. -
Doesn't work either /:
Dammit -
oh! thats a bummer then.
dont know what else to suggest. -
304.79 works straight off nvidias website
-
304.79 Beta official Geforce.com also didn't work

Okay guys, tried the newest modded driver with a modified INF.
I set up the driver using device manager, then using have disk method I pointed out to nv_disp.inf file, the GT 630M works in afterburner, HWINFO and Throttlestop. Plus it can continue F@H yay :3
Note: I have to confirm using an unsigned driver, you have to accept it if you have UAC on.
But I have no "nvidia control panel", and nvidia driver doesn't shop up in add or remove programs and revo uninstaller.
Help? -
Let me know what Hardware ID you have and I may be able to help.
Go to start, control panel, type in Device, then select 'Device Manager', Display Adapters, right click on your GPU and select 'Properties', then Details and paste the entries seen in the 'Hardware ids' drop down menu.
I think your problems are not due to uninstalled Nvidia Drivers but no support for your GPU's hardware ID. It also looks like the wrong inf was modded, I believe NVCV.inf is the one that needed to be modded.
Really can't install driver.
