This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Anyone notice that nVidia recently released beta drivers for their new desktop line of 8XXX video cards? Apparently the new drivers don't make it so Source engine games take such a massive hit when turning AA above 2 x, and HD video playback has been improved (I hope it means the Aero theme will now work when watching on the 8400 GS)... hopefully this will fix my two biggest issues with the 8400 GS in my notebook, but they're not out for it yet.

    Just thought I'd give you all a heads up.
