I'm looking for some engaging, but simple turn based type games like turn based strategy or something like Peggle that aren't all that difficult to learn.

We've got an infant and I find myself sitting for 30-60 minutes at a time while he naps or plays in his chair next to me (no he doesn't want to be around me all the time). I played through Peggle a few times already. It was fun but am getting bored of it.

Are there other similar type games that can be stopped at pretty much any time and are easy to get back into? I am considering Sword of the Stars or Galactic Civilizations 2, but I think those might be too engaging like Civilization. Even though they're turn based, you can easily get pulled in or forget your grand strategy the next time you load it up.

Thanks for the links. Problem is sorting through all the trash to find the occasional treasure. That can take hours upon itself.

Kongregate's rating system is actually very good. The games on the front page are always very good, plus you can sort them by rating.

One of the versions of Advance Wars on the DS/GBA.

A very addictive, yet "light" turn based strategy game----somewhat like the old Panzer General game, but in a more generic/non-specific setting.
