Can anyone recommend me a game to play on my computer ? specs are as follows in attachment specs.PNG

    I currently Have :

    - Sega Rally Revo

    - Company of Hereos

    - World in Conflct :D --- all which run great !

I don't want to play any games that require steam, Must be physical copy only. Would love games that I can play that are designed for NVidia 6 series -7 series.

Love racing games and would love games that have split screen.

Im pretty much open to anything just recommend games that are fun and would look/run great on my pc is what Im asking :)

If you like large scale RTS you could try supreme commander and it's fantastic expansion forged alliance.

Since you liked Company of Heroes, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 2 is pretty similar. Original Dawn of War isn't bad either.

Torchlight and Torchlight 2 are Diablo-styled games. Especially the first one is light, it runs on first Atoms and the second isn't too heavy either. I didn't personally like Diablo 1 or 2 but Torchlight worked on me. Later I got both Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2, both are good games in their genre. Torchlight 1 is singleplayer only but 2 has multiplayer option.

    yes to all these.

Question - When you say physical only, is it because
    1) You really only want a game on disc or
    2) You just want a game without ANY form of DRM?

If your choice is 1, you're limited to ordering off amazon or going to a local gamestore. Even then, you may be stuck with some form of DRM depending on the game/dev/publisher.

If you are avoiding steam because you simply don't want ANY drm whatsoever, I'd recommend
    GOG.com
GOG has a mixture of both older and newer games, DRM free. Should you so desire, you could download the games and burn them to a disc.
    and also
    https://www.humblebundle.com/
Humble bundle used to be just a once in a while bundle, but they have grown to include weekly sales and their own store. NOT all games are DRM free, some actually require Steam, but you can find many completely free DRM options.

Oh yea. This latest Humblebundle sure has games to play. I cannot praise enough Magicka, Serious Sam is a classic in it's own tongue-in-a-cheek way. Sanctum 1 was good enough that I bought it. Natural Selection and Orcs must die, I haven't tried them but they have had great reviews.

Splitscreen/Co-op games are pretty rare but Trine and Trine 2 feature Co-op on same screen.

Come on, even my o-scope can play pong.

There some reasons not to like Steam, like slow internet, doesn't work in your country, etc. But there are many reasons to try it. The deals on Steam are better than I can find with physical media, even if I shop ebay, etc. Plus there are even free games on there. And no risk of losing the physical media.

As for games, The Torchlights are good and will run on almost anything. If you like rpg, you could try Elder Scrolls Morrowind. As is it will play on a netbook, add in mods and you could tax a high end game computer. So mod it to your liking.

I used to feel that way about Steam but I've since come to appreciate the power of the platform. The ability to play Company of Heroes or Company of Heroes 2 whenever I visit someone who has it installed by simply logging into Steam is awesome (same for Blizzard). I can have friends come over and play on my more powerful gear instead of their weak systems by logging into one of my systems. Steam is the way to go.

Our crew play Diablo 3 and Starcraft (comp stomp - coop vs AI), COH, COH2 and Torchlight 2.

You may have to turn down the setting on COH2 to low but still plays well on some low end systems. A few friends lag a bit but it's still fun.

    Cheers,

like a disc and a nice box, no drm would be fine, but I just like pc games from late 2005-2007 when games were good, and sold complete without all the dlc. before great studios were closed or bought up from ubisoft or EA :err:
