I'm a casual gamer on the console, haven't touched a console in months though. I spend most of my time watching anime and it gets a little repetitive so I'm looking for some vidya to play.

I've got no cash whatsoever, have a semi-modern computer and a fast internet connection. I want something good, free, and 3D. I hear there are anime styled MMORPG's, that would be cool to look into. Wikipedia isn't the best with things like this, it's usually best to ask people who play the games so I'm here asking.

Years ago I used to play a browser based 3D MMORPG called Runescape, don't wanna play something like it again. Can anyone recommend something I might like to me?

Many years ago I had some fun with a Korean-made free MMO called ROSE Online. Graphics are rather anime-inspired and somewhat kid-friendly to me now, but the gameplay was pretty solid.

If you can spend a bit of money up front but without a monthly fee, Guild Wars is an excellent choice.

Allods Online IMO is the best Free MMORPG available right now. But that's if they don't mess it up with the item mall and later the death penalty lasting 2 hours unless you buy something from the item mall to get rid of it.

    Very confusing, stupid Russians.

Guild Wars is really great. You buy the box, but don't pay a subscription fee. It's also very cheap. You can get the trilogy for like 10 USD, some places or something.

Atlantica Online is very good according to the statistics at www.mmorpg.com . People praise it because it's uniqe. It's a MMORPG, but it has a turned based combat system where you fight turn based with party members, like the real Final Fantasy games.

Allods Online, SUN and Runes of Magic seems to be the alternatives and WoWish games right now.

If you are into Free Action games, look into Battlefield Heroes, S4 League and Quake Live.

Thanks for the help. The games so far recommended aren't my cup of tea though, any more suggestions? :)

    Ragnarok Online?

You don't get much more anime style than that.

You can try private servers of lineage II. This game ate my childhood. The game requires a monthly fee to play on the official ncsoft servers, but there are a lot of low-rate servers, who are having an even better gameplay, because of better administration believe it or not. The game is not very demanding as well, i used to play it on my old desktop with radeon x300 and amd athlon 3200+, 1gb ram.
