Has anyone heard any news on whether or not this game is going to be released on the PC?

It comes out this month for the 360 and the PS3, and I have read quite a few articles on talk about it coming out on the PC, but no hard evidence.

So does anyone know if Rockstar has officially announced if it will be coming out on the PC too?

It's possible that it might be released on PC, but probably a year after the consoles (like prior GTA games minus IV). Such is the trend for Rockstar when releasing on PC.

I sure would like to play this on PC.

they never released red dead revolver, but i hope they release this one!!
i was planning to pre-order it when it had the PC listed in their site few weeks ago.. this was part of my summer plan, and now it's been ruined.

think my AMD Athlon II X3 435 Rana 2.9GHz will be able to run the game?

I considered getting it, since I do have a PS3 (though I hardly use it), but if it was for PC from the get go I'd buy it day one probably.

I got to play a bit on the 360 today, as a friend brought it over. Very awesome game, I'm really hoping for a PC version. I do have a PS3, but I'm willing to wait!

Off topic but I notice you're currently playing Mount and Blade:Warband (chlwotjd678). I finally delved a bit into the single player today after some dabbling with the custom battle mode a couple weeks ago when I first got it off Steam. Even though the game looks dated graphically, it's so comprehensive and so awesome. I got so into it.

Yes I really hope for a PC version soon, however I will buy it now for either my 360 or PS3, from what I have heard the 360 version is better than the PS3 one.

I know!! Its such a great game. I recommend that you try out the mods. I know that TEATRC works on warband but Not sure if WWII CB work in Warband though. But they ported many mods from the original to the expansion. The Eagle and the radiant cross is a really good mod. Theres a WWII mod too. M&B Repository - File: WWII:China Battlefield
MBrepository is the best place to find Mount and blade mods.
P.S. sorry about going completely off topic :D

While Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood is a great game, it doesent feel as open as Red Dead Revolver.
Im been so lucky to test it out and its much smoother framerate on Xbox 360 than GTA IV.
Also cool that you can hunt the local wildlife, gather plants and "tame" your own horse.

Cant wait to play online once the game hits my local game store so i can buy it.
    (Not from Game Stop lol.)

    that was expected.
i mean, more unexpected things, maybe like blowing up trains??
i hope i can stick with a single horse throughout the whole game, cz i hated losing my horse, Agro, in the game, Shadow of the Colossus..

Ya, I read that article. Hopefully it's true.

"No expectations, no disappointments" is my favorite saying, so I am still holding out until Rockstar confirms it.

That article screams typo (when looking at the image provided).
Nothing is confirmed or even practically confirmed unless it's from the developers.

    One can dream though.

I wonder why rockstar left the PC? Atleast for the GTA series. Is it simply because it's a bigger market/less piracy on consoles?
I wonder if there ever was some kind of official announcement, because the earlier instances of GTA played fine on PC. It even sprung up mods which were alot of fun.

What is the save game system? As in checkpoints, or save when/where you want?

I had the same horse for 50% of the game, until i shot him in the head with a sawed-off because he kept interrupting me while i was throwing horseshoes.

    Stupid horse.

As GTA IV.. Save when missions or the like has been completed and in houses that you buy.

I don't understand why save by checkpoint is growing in popularity and save when you want is becoming a scarcity.

Personally I prefer having both, automatic save at a checkpoint and then being able to save in the middle, in between.

I am quite fond of the "quick save" system in the Mass Effect games (and possibly others) myself. It has checkpoint-based autosaves so you're not completely screwed if you die after forgetting to save for a while, and it also has the ability to quick save any time you want by pressing a single key. Makes other games where I have to bring up and navigate the in-game menu in order to save seem like a colossal waste of time.

Having had a chance to play this on PS3 the other day, I wish it was out on PC right now. My only game console is a desktop computer hooked up to a 40" TV with a wireless Xbox controller.
