Keeping a long story short, is there any way to tell a reflow job from a reball job in a laptop on a graphics chip?
Work is being done on my computer, and the company (a smaller company around CA) says that they do a reball job and that they don't take shortcuts.
I am just curious on if there is any way to tell one job from another. I know reflows only tend to last a few weeks or a few months compared to a reball, but I would not rather wait that long to find out.

you could rub your hands over the board and lick your fingers. if you DONT die from lead poisoning, you know they cheated.

Its very hard to tell, maybe if you have X-Ray machine to see through the chip so you can actually see the ball contact. Other than that its very hard to actually see the ball contact underneath the chip. Maybe you could see residual flux, just guessing
Here's a YouTube video on reballing -
