Hi everyone. Before i get started here are my notebook specs.

    Bto notebook 17cl56 (haswell)
    Intel i7-4700mq
    Intel hd graphivs 4600 (integrated)
    Gtx 780 m
    It runs with optimus.

So basically i plugged in my samsung 2233rz (old but gold) with a dvi to displayport. Whatever i do i cant seem to get more than 60hz. I also tried dvi to hdmi and i get the same result. Both dvi cables are dual link. Ive tried every possible way but its stuck at 60hz. The 2233 supports 120hz in 2D. I also used 120hz on my desktop before. When i emailed the store they said that any nvidia card that uses optimus is NOT able to ever get more than 60hz on any kind of monitor. Is this actually true or is there a solution for this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Stevy

Are you using Windows 10? I've heard that there is a longstanding issue with Optimus systems not being able to ever get over 60 FPS when using W10.

I use w7 x64 ultimate. My fps isnt a problem. The refreshrate is the problem. Playing shooters on 60hz makes my eyes bleed :(
