    Release date for hd2600?

    Its been awhile and I haven't heard much talk about it but does anyone know when it'll finally be released? I'm looking particularly at full spec'd 14" laptops and I would like to see some comparisons with the 8600gt. I hear that it may be a bit weaker graphics wise but draws less power correct?
    Perhaps some comparisons between 8600 vs 7700, hd2600 vs X1700 as they seem to be their direct replacements.

    Also was there some sort of news concerning ati cards including integrated sound for their hdmi outputs as opposed to nvidia's...no sound? Does that even make sense? And if it does wouldn't it be a big deal?

    AFAIK, that's the idea:

    8600M GS vs HD 2600 (these should replace the Go 7700/X1700)

    8600M GT vs HD 2600 XT (these should be much more powerful)

    However, I haven't seen any benchmarks about the HD 2600...so you should wait and see.
