I remember a time when FEAR was the standard of benchmarking for systems. Now we can all run this game will relative ease. Amazing how technology grows.
Can't wait to see how this scene will change in a year or two.

Careful, you don't want to get an old grey-beard started on the game of "remember when...."

I remember the graphical hype over FEAR with my friends was insane.
My ATI 9600SE and 32 bit Athlon XP 3000+ and 512 ram were hot.
Along with my like 14" inch round front CRT. -
I hate these type of topics.

I remember playing FEAR on my Geforce Ti4600. Oh wait...I still have that card...
Good thing I have this MBP and its mega awesome GPU! ^_^ -
I always thought the game wasnt that great looking, and also, the gameplay was horrid. Quake 4 pooped all over it, in fact it was the best looking game out until Gears.
Similarly, Condemned looked FAR better, and that didnt get much attention -

What I really meant is that these types of nostalgic threads are more about one-self than about the current state of technology.
Remember when?...
