Was just wondering... can we replace the INF file of the original nVidia drivers (from nVidia.com) with the one that is available from the laptop OEM?

Because DELL is quite lazy updating GPU drivers. i was wondering whether using DELL's INF file instead of the INF file from e.g laptop2go.com is a safer option?

so, first we have locate where nVidia driver are getting extracted when the setup is run. then we cancel the setup (setup will exit anyway because nVidia drivers won't install on laptops). hoping setup will not delete the tem files then we replace nVidia's INF with DELL's INF ....

this way we would definitely know that INF settings are compatible with laptop model... but are there more to consider than just replacing the INF files? what do you guys think ?

    Cheers !!!

Check out laptopvideo2go.com! They really should make it more obvious for newbies to go there.
