Resident Evil 5 coming to PC

Capcom recently dated Resident Evil 5 for a simultaneous release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 for March 13th. I am very happy about this news because this was one of the games that made me want a PS3 or Xbox 360

Let's hope they make another good port like they did with DMC4.

This right here is my greatest fear. However, they did a great job on DMC4, so there's hope.

I could care less how high the system requirements are. My computer is too sexy for even Crysis!!

 

Trust me, if they do as "good" a job on this as they did on RE4, system specs wouldn't matter.

The RE4 port was a long time ago, and wasn't even handled by Capcom.

RE5 PC will be the definitive version.

I hope my 8600GT and 8600mGT can play it well enough...

 

Haha as long as 3870x2 crossfire with T9400 can run it i'm happy.

 

I'm sure you can handle it at a medium resolution on mainstream settings at the least.

 

Looking forward to Resident Evil 5 for PC, I am a huge fan of the Resident Evil saga, I even got the Handcannon in the Gamecube Version of Resident Evil 4!

 

i love this b/c i do not have a ps3 or 360 either (i chose not to buy them, they suck). and most the best games for the consoles are on pc now too niceee

now i just need to hope that ff13 comes out on pc too

I'm glad to hear about this as well, RE4 got me hyped again because I simply could not stand the control schemes of previous RE games.

 

hey its very possible that ff13 will come to pc b/c idk if u noticed, alot of xbox360 games are available on pc too. and lot of the ps3 games that were ported from ps3 to 360 also came out on pc. and also ff7 and ff8 when they first came out on playstation soon became released to the pc also..

so come on PLEASE SQUARE ENIX, YOU'VE ALREADY BETRAYED SONY SO U HAVE NO HONOR LEFT, SO WHY NOT JUST PORT THE GAME TO PC ALSO HAHAH

im sure the pc version wont be bad, but im sure it will be better on the consoles since its originally made and developed for the consoles, starting with PS3 then of course like everything else sony used to have to itself, going to the 360 also. I mean of course how it lost exclusiveness on it, not release date since its the same. I do miss the old style RE games tho, they should make one with killer graphics on the ps3 or 360 like the RE1 remake for gamecube was, that game was kick ***.

 

Actually, they already confirmed a 360/PC release for FF13 (Versus is still PS3 exclusive at the moment). However, they stated in an article that they would be giving the PS3 version priority and won't even be developing the 360/PC version until after the PS3 version is already shipped.

On topic though, I hope RE5 doesn't get a delay like FF13 will be seeing. Simultaneous release, pretty please?

 

Oh wow, I never heard of this. Even though I own an Xbox360 I disregaurded this game as one I want to buy because it was for consoles only.

I also think they can do a good job in optimizations and such, capcom did pretty well with Lost planet in terms of performance IMO regaurdless of what other people say.

There's only ONE thing I want to know that is the decider for me. What type of DRM will be used. If it's restrictive beyond the simple put in the CD & cd key to play, then I won't be buying.

ArmageddonAsh, Capcom did the same with Devil may cry 4, it was built with PC tools, so its stupid to not port it to PC you know.

 

This is one of the best news for me !! However , I just hope they wont released a crappy port like they did with RE4. Although I still enjoyed RE4 on PC very much....yea I'm a hardcore RE fan ^_^

The articles you posted are almost a year old, the rumours popped up after the multiplatform announcement.

There has been no direct confirmation, from Capcom, that there will be a PC version on March 13.

 

That's too bad since FF7, FF8 and FF11 have come to the PC. The Last Remnant, a console game by Square is coming to PC soon, why not FF13?

 

I would love to see at LEAST FF9 on PC that would be sweet.

 

Well, Playstation 1 emulaton is pretty much perfect on PCs now and all modern PCs should be able to emulate it at full speed (my laptop from 5 years ago ran it at 100%, even netbooks can run PS1 games 100%). So you can run FF9 perfectly on a netbook on the go!

It is because The Last Remnant was announced on all three platforms right from the beginning.

The main reason why there are rumours that there will be a PC version of XIII is because people got to know games are developed on PC, but in reality they are developed with devkits on the PC.
Another reason is that because the Xbox360 is basically a weak PC by it's architecture what lead to people believe SquareEnix will also release it on PC because it'll be very easy to port.

Also note that FF 11 was an MMORPG. :]

 

That seems to be a very good game..

I really like the resident evil series...

 

I just hope the port is good, sick of the recent console to PC ports which play and look like crap.
