Every single mouse aim patch I got for resident evil 4 PC had a generic trojan in it. Any idea where to get one that is clean? Even the file front one had a trojan.

ratchetnclank Notebook Deity
use a controller.

gee, ratchetnclank, that musta been bloody helpful.
ahem. does the manufacturer not supply one? if not, i'd look for dedicated fansites, i'm sure you'll find a clean one there. -
use a xbox 360 controller!

Yeah, unfortunately I had to stop playing this game because of the lack of mouse-aim support, that and the buttons are mapped for a ps2,lol.

Yea its a pretty terrible port with its washed out graphics and lack of real keyboard mouse compatibility but its still a ridiculously fun game.
Though, I think that this game should only be played with a gamepad to get the best experience out it. The game's designed with one in mind, if you consider how slowly the enemies generally move around the screen to compensate for gamepad aiming. Mouse targeting would make the game a lot less challenging and scary as you could easily head/knee/crotch/eye/tenticle-shot everything that runs, crawls, or lurches at you. -
Nah I will never aim with my thumb. Screw controllers. But its pretty annoying to have all the mouse aim patches infected with a trojan. :\

If I am getting false positives how can I confirm this?
-

Most are just false positives from your antivirus (AVG). Just add it to the exclusion list for it to work.
With the most recent official update, texture patch 2.0, and the fake bloom patch, RE4 looks amazing.

Wow the difference is drastically different. How are the new mouse aim tools now? I played that game earlier this year and they were awful, i hope they ahve improved somewhat.
