    Hey,

I just installed omega's based off catalyst 6.7 and was gonna benchmark. Everytime I start the benchmark though, 3DMark resets my clocks to default. I then noticed that any resolution change will reset the clocks to default. WTF? I'm using ATT version 1.0.5.880 to set the overclock.

What are people using these days? I've used Omega's for so long but it seems like he's running behind a little. Should I use mobility 6.9? I don't wanna install CCC but I still need access to powerplay so my only real option is Omega's drivers.

    Help!,

    Flaviu

Try falling back to Omega 6.3. 6.3 is the latest version of drivers I can use with my MR X700 before I start getting that clock reset problem.

I tried the stock ATI Catalyst Mobility, hacked ATI Catalyst desktop drivers, and the Omegas . . no success. I'm tempted to try the latest 6.9 with the latest version of ATT, but I am happy with the way my games run now so I see no need to change just yet . .

How come no one on other forums knows about this? Is it only ppl with x300, x700s?

There was a discussion thread about the Mobility Catalyst 6.4 a while ago, and I think everyone with an X700, etc. was having that problem of resetting clocks. The 6.4's were the first drivers that supported the ATI X1000 series video cards. I doubt anything before 6.4 will work with the X1000's.

So when are we gonna see a fix for the resetting clocks!? If they don't look into this we'll be stuck w/ 6.3s forever.

LOL LOL LOL got another problems with omega 6.7 and ATI Tool. It autooverclock my GPU to 531Mhz, which is way to high, and it crash in 3dmark2005 after 1 min. Cant put the clock speed i want, 450Mhz. With catalyst 6.9 ATI Tool cant overclock, and speed got back to normal.

Ahh good ol' Omega 6.3s are back:

I'm surprised I got this score with lower clocks than in my sig. (442.80/325.80 now and my sig used to be 444.60/325.92)

No artifacting in ATT stress test for more than 500 seconds.

These are my memory timings set with ATT dont' play with these unless you wanna risk all:

In brackets are my default settings.

    -------Timings1:-------------
    CAS: 4(5)
    ------Timings 2:------------
    TRCDRD 4(6)
    TRCDWR: 1(3)
    TRP: 5(6)
    TRAS: 6(9)
    TRRD: 1(3)
    TR2W: CL+2(CL+3)
    TWR: 2(3)
    TW2RSame Bank: 2(3)
    TR2R: 1(2)
    ------Timings 3:------------
    Memory refresh rate: 255(28)

Just woundering, how much can X300 make in 3dmark2005 with default clock speed and memori settings?

    ~1400.

However, I knew something had to be wrong b/c before I was getting 2000+ with slightly higher overclocks (just a few MHz) that proved unstable. I only get 2000+ the first time I run it after a fresh restart. Otherwise it's about 1995. lol.

So is this problem still an issue? (Resetting of the clocks on a resolution change?)

I have yet to try omega's 6.9. Anyone wanna save me the trouble of installing them and whatnot and tell me if this is still a problem?
