    Hi!

My graphics card has a problem while gaming:

I have noticed quite a weird thing: when i close the lid of my laptop, and then i open it up, the screen switches on, but then switches off in 2 seconds and so on.

It only gets solved when i restar my computer.

is it a driver issue? cos i have downloaded tons of differents drivers...

    how can i solve this?

I would try updating your video driver. Does the notebook feel hot when this happens?

Way to Hijack the thread, it sounds like either you have a driver issue, or some related issue to the game. Or could be a heat issue.

About the laptop screen, I really don't know what to do for you. The best thing for you may be to actually call/email where you bought it from, or who ever the mfg is.

I would check with your notebook manufacturer to see if they have a Spanish version of KB917332. MS doesn't make the hotfix readily available unless you can prove you need it, which is why my link went through Laptopvideo2go.com

Set it not to go on standby when you close the lid.

If you go into your Control Panel in Classic View, there should be Power Options (it will be a Green battery and an AC power plug). The advanced tab gives you an option to adjust how the computer responds when the lid is closed.

ok, i think you have understood me wrong :D

you know that when you close the lid of your computer, the screen automatically switchs off, to save energy, and when you open the lid, automatically switchs on (nothing to do with hybernation)... the problem is that in my laptop, it doesnt switch on again, it only flashes, but switches off again:

    here is the process:

1.-close lid of computer (screen automatically switches off to save energy)
2.-open lid of computer (laptop screen switches back on)
3.-with lid open, the screen switches off again. I dunno why.
4.-gotta restart laptop for everything to go ok.

I know what you are talking about, but I have seen that hotfix help with issues very similar to what you are describing before. Beyond that, however, you might try updating your video drivers or testing on a single SODIMM of RAM.

Now when you close lid the comp goes into standby
Open lid it comes back up but screen shuts off in 2 sec

    NOW DONT RESTART, try this

Close lid fully again and open lid again...this should fix it

For me I only have this problem rarely and I do what I have mentioned above to fix it. If this is happening to you all the time then I suggest you get newer drivers from laptopvideo2go.com
