According to several news sources over a week ago, the Riddick Dark Athena demo is supposed to be out "one month prior to the full game release" which is due out April 7.

Sorry if this was posted already. Hopefully it'll be out next week. I loved the original Riddick Butcher Bay. Apparently Butcher Bay is completely redone in the new game engine. It'll be fun to play again.

Edit: By the way, I mean for Subject to read: Riddick: Dark Athena DEMO due out soon!?

It is also supposed to be the longest game Tigon has ever made, with gameplay totalling over 20+ solid hours. Pretty beefy for an FPS.

Then again, if you already played the original Butcher Bay, it is more like 14 hours, but considering I just beat Killzone 2 in 6 hours and Gears of War in 5, that is pretty good. lol

It's basically a remake of one of the best and most under rated FPS games of all time. The game's storyline was great, and had a great mix of stealth and action style game play. I'd definitely buy it again if they didn't completely screw it up and try to stream line it for consoles.

I think I heard this one is a complete remake of the first game following the same storyline, but also adding on to where the first left off. I can't see how they can possibly screw this up, but hey, it happens alot lately.

It's an all new game, they just remade Butcher Bay with the new graphics engine and are including it. Kind of like Half-Life 1 Source, except I believe they completely redid the game instead of half- like Valve did with Half-Life 1 source.

Yeah, Butcher Bay is one of the few games I've played through multiple times. I remember the first time I played through my PC hardware wasn't quite up to snuff. Once I upgraded my rig, I played through again, and just about a year ago, played through again! I was going to play it before Athena, but figure I'd wait for the revised graphics engine version that's included with it.

Yeah, they're doing what they did before with Butcher Bay, using the latest and best graphics technology in order to make Dark Athena bleeding-edge. I can't wait to see more!
