    Hey there!

I'm new here in the forum, Thanks for the space!

I just bought the GTX 970M from canada for my clevo P150EM (Im from Brazil, sorry for the poor english), the seller from ebay : Woodzstack (also known as "Rage gaming" on Facebook) recomended me this forum.

I need the right Bios and drivers for the Clevo P150EM, I searched online, and I found prema's custom bios for it, but there's more than one option on his website, there's also a vbios (is the vbios only usefull for overclocks, or do i need it in order for my clevo to recognize the 970M? Because I don't plan to do overclocks), There's two versions for the vbios : " GTX9xxM MXM" and "GTX9xxM MXM G-SYNC GPUs", what's the difference? The GTX970M that I bought is the 6GB version. There's also two versions for the BIOS : " Prema Mod v2" or "Prema Mod v2 2T"? Which one is the right or more stable version?

There's also the Eurocom bios, but in order to download from them I need the GTX 970M serial number to request the Bios, it didn't arrived from canada yet, I was hopping to get informed before it gets here of which bios and driver should I go for it, which one is the best choice?

    Thanks!

Vbios optional, get the NOT g-sync version to avoid a brick. The drivers are best from nvidia direct (install straight on with the prema system bios which is required before installing the card).

Don't forget to leave a tip for him :)

    OK!

So let me get this straight, for the vbios, I should only download it if I feel like overclocking, right? (sorry for the noob question)

And for the normal Bios (the one that is required for the GTX970M to work on my Clevo), there's two types as i said before : " Prema Mod v2" or "Prema Mod v2 2T", one of these bios has " 2T" on them, what doest that stands for? Is any better or worse than the normal one? And there's also the Eurocom version of the bios, is it any better or worse than Prema's Bios?

And for the drivers, i notice that Eurocom has custom drivers on their website, wonder if they're special, since this is a custom upgrade, because these old clevos were no suppose to handle these new card, right?

    Sorry for the nobbish :)

If you have more than two RAM -Sticks, go with the "2T"-Version.

You can always overclock slightely (+135Mhz on core and a nice amount on memory) without bios mod.
It's enough for a lot of people, about drivers, just take the ones from nvidia, the drivers for the eurocom are just validated and stuff that take a lot of time/money for them so they dont do it for a long time after release.
Expect better perfs and fixes with the nvidia stock drivers :)
About the vbios choice : be wareful if you have a 3gb or a 6gb card :)

vbios mod usually also gives u a better experience at stock, since stock vbios on 900M series is known to give u clock throttling. if u decide to flash it definitely go for the non-gsync version in your case.

the 2T is related to your ram. 1T gives u slightly faster ram, whereas 2T gives you higher stability. when in doubt, go with 2T, since the performance boost is pretty minor anyways. the eurocom bios is basically a premamod bios, but could potentially provide less options than the original premamod :)

as for gpu drivers, just go with the stock nvidia drivers, theyre fine ;)

and yea, dont forget to send some beer / coffee money down prema's way, these bios mods are hard work!

you need to match the bios AND the vbios ?
Can you be specific, i have a user who says he can not get past the windows 10 logon screen, it just stalls at load. Im attempting to help him trouble shoot, but i fear its more windows 10 and how it handles legacy or installation of devices more then the graphics cards fault.
