I have an M1530 with a 8600m gt. I've overclocked it to 600/1200/950, which gets me just 15 points shy of 6000 3dmarks. This is pretty stable, too. I used to get minor artifacts while gaming, but now I've got my lappy balanced on a stack of books so it doesn't run so hot, and no artifacts.
Now the strange thing is that Riva Tuner's Information Window gives me all the correct clockspeeds when the GPU's at its default clockspeed. When I change the speeds to 600/1200/950, the ROP clock goes down to 100 MHz in the information window. Is this just the Information window messing up or do I have some problems with my driver (I'm using the latest ones from Laptopvideo2go) or is it something else altogether? Also, rivatuner can only adjust my clock speeds at very large intervals (e.g. 40 MHz). Is there some setting that can be changed? Lastly, does anyone know how I can get that elusive 6000 points?
Thanks in advance.

i get that too but it happens for me when i set the core clock to anything above 549, and rivatuner's monitoring never shows me the same speeds as what i have set them as, or what gpu-z shows them ass
