Round 2: HTWingNut's NBR Back to School 2014 Steam Game Giveaway!


Yes, number 2, not unlike what you do on the throne after a heavy meal, but it's a bit more satisfying than that. I have many games that weren't given away and some new ones added, so wanted to provide additional back to school distraction. This is more or less a cut and paste from the previous giveaway, except some games have been added, others no longer available, and a few changes to some things below... Just be sure to read the rules.

This contest is same as other, giving games out to users here at NBR. Entering is simple, but *you must follow the rules and read this entire post to qualify*.

I have 41 total games to give away, some of them duplicates. The games that are being given away are shown below and have a hotlink to the Steam page for that game, as well as quantity available. Please educate yourself on which game you want. You will have a chance to win two games, another number two. You should feel lighter now.

NBR has NO AFFILIATION with this giveaway, it's me only. So I ask that you hug an old person and say thank you.

I will disqualify users for not obeying the rules. I have no time to fart around, I've got kids going back to school, and some personal issues that need attention too, plus I work... I'm a mean old man with patience about as long as my pinky nail. So pay attention or get off my lawn!

THE RULES!

1. You must be an NBR member since before September 1, 2014 with more than 10 posts by September 1, 2014, has an active post in the last year, and must not be banned at time of the drawing.
2. You must have a Steam user account and provide your Steam user profile url in the form. If I can't find you with that username, then you're doing it wrong. Easiest way is to log into Steam, click on your username at top and go to 'profile'. Right click background and choose 'copy page URL' and paste it into the form. It should be something like http://steamcommunity.com/id/htwingnut/
3. You must be legally able to accept and play the games that you win or enter to win (i.e. if you have to ask your mom, forget about entering).
4. Winners will have 48 hours to claim their prize otherwise it will go to the next contender.
5. There will be three game entries on the form to enter. This is so that when I draw random numbers and the games you want are already taken from someone luckier than you, it gives you a couple more chances to get at least some game you want without feeling like a total loser. Please choose the games in priority order you would like them.
6. You must enter the secret code: 'blueberry' in the form so I know you can read or at least pretend to.
7. You can change your entry at any time, any earlier entries with your NBR username will be deleted. In short, duplicate entries will be deleted, and will keep the latest entry.
8. Two games can be won by any user. There will be one drawing, then once all are done, I will do a second round and some lucky winners will win two games. I'm trying to completelly empty out my Steam gifts inventory.
9. Make a comment about something game and school related in this thread (not spam).
10. You cannot already own the game that you are asking to win
11. Rules can change at any moment because I'm like that.
12. No whining!

The drawing will be random and take place sometime on the weekend of September 13 & 14. Winners will be notified of their prize through NBR Private Messaging. You must respond and provide me with your email address or send a friend request on Steam within 48 hours after drawing to win your prize, or it will go to the next entrant.

It may take me several days to get back to you though, don't get angry. Just remember, you're the one groveling for free stuff and skipping class. Good luck!

Now a comment about school and games... Hmmm... Let me think...

Games' giveaways should be part of education systems: a bunch of games for top achievers before each school holiday. TADAAAAAA!!!... :thumbsup:

Funny when I think of it: when I was in high school (many years ago), I was an underachiever and I hated school. Now I am "a bit" older and I absolutely enjoy every moment I spend at uni, and I get top marks.

Nice, an other round! If you keep going like this the global average performance of students will begin to decline noticeably .

 

I don't feel guilty about entering as I don't start school until the end of the month.

I'm in my final year of school (PhD) ... so the plan is to keep gaming instead of doing science ... I'm afraid of leaving the academic bubble and entering the real world!

 

Still putting off schoolwork. Maybe I'll create a protoplanetary disk if I accrete enough games to my Steam backlog.
