    Runescape HD w/ 8600m GT

    Hello, for some reason whenever I try to play Runescape in HD mode (regular mode works fine) I get the following errors

    Error_game_caps_nvidia - Graphics card driver needs updating.

    Your operating system: Windows Vista x86 6.0

    Your graphics card: NVIDIA Corporation GeForce 8600M GT/PCI/SSE2

    Your graphics card driver has the following problems:

    * No Multi-Texturing
    * No Extended Multi-Texturing

    I've tried atleast 10 different drivers, Dells Defaults and laptopvideo2go's. Completely uninstalling the drivers in safe mode before installing new drivers, modded and OEM Infs. I tried older and newer Java Versions. I tried Mozilla based browsers and IE 6 then IE7. I also tried Runescapes stand alone client (which I believe is just an IE window)

    Please help me :-(

    Hmm, I'm not sure of the problem
    And Satyrion, just because he/she likes the game and you don't doesn't really qualify you to just tell him/her that they shouldn't play it because you find it horrible.

    I quickly googled this and found this site, hopefully it'll help you out.

    Pablo that guide has no viable information, and yes I've tried every driver imaginable.

    Im thinking about doing a complete format.

    Hmm, before you do that, are you sure you have the latest version of Java? If anything, you could just reinstall java and see if that'll help out.

    Before doing a complete reformat, do you have any other problem with the card? Because wiping everything clean for a free game is a little bit excessive I think...
    Did you use ccleaner after uninstalling every drivers?

    I hear Jagex turned to the path of communism and banned trading, stake dueling and player killing? What's the point of Runescape now? Playing Runescape on an 8600M GT is an insult to the card.

    Its a game I know and its fun, plus the 3D version of it really makes it the kind of game I like.

    Show me alternatives to RS?

    Every game you guys have mentions fall into either Cat.

    A: Games that sell overpowered balance ruining cash-shop items
    B: P2P MMOs that take up too much of my time.
