Hey guys, im wanting a laptop that can run aoe3 on full settingsalong with all other RTS titles at max. i play little to no FPS games.

would the LG-LW65-R4ZA do the job?

    Pentium M Processor @ 2ghz

ATI Mobility Radeon X700 graphics with 256mb (128mb dedicated, 128mb hypermemory)

    1gb DDR2 @ 533MHZ

    100GB HDD @ 5400rpm

from what ive seen it will be upto the job (2800-3000ish 3dmark05 marks), but i thought id just get some opionions 1st

yeh that should do the job fine.

What screen resolution do u intend to play it on? 1280x800 is a good native resolution. Any higher would drastically kill performance

I play it at max with 1680x1050 and works good.

Yeah, I play it at maximum settings on my X700 (256MB dedicated, OC'ed) at a 1280x1024 resolution on my external NEC MultiSync.

Just keep the Light Bloom off, and there are a couple other things to keep down or off for the most fluent performance.

Yeah, I only tried the demo for a little bit . . . I didn't have the light bloom on, but from my experience, enabling that can decrease performance quite a bit.

I'll test it out again and let you know how it runs . . ;)

But either way, I think that we have come to the conclusion that the X700 will have zero problems with Age of Empires III. :D

weird my x700 run AOEIII with every possible detail including antialiasing set to MAX on 1280x800 with no noticable slowdown.

i'll kick ur ass at AOE3!!

just kidding, i suck. I only played online 3 times. The last time i played, a bunch of monster trucks came out of nowhere and destroyed my settlement in seconds before i managed to advance to the 2nd age.

    I haven't played it since

i used to be good at RTS tho. In redalert 2 i was ranked 24th out of all of the players
