Hey guys, I just want to know if I can run battlefield 2 & 2142 on high settings with xps m1530 (geforce 8600m gt card). Will the performance suffer.

No, the performance won't suffer. I can play with my 2600HD (same thing as the 8600gt) on all high with a 1440x900 res.

the 8600m gt will definitely be able to run bf2 & bf2142 on high settings, no doubt about it. i don't think any of the core 2 duo processors available on the m1530 will severely bottleneck it either (though it never hurts to opt for a better processor than the T5250 if you have the cash)

lmao, a C2D will not bottleneck it at all. Especially at higher resolutions since it turns to GPU limitation at a higher res. I run 1680x1050, all high settings with 8xAF and I get 40 ~ 80, sometimes spikes into the 100's.

Those are artifacts, led rock. Are you overclocking? If so, turn down the clock, because the temp of the gpu is too high
