Will my gateway mx7525 run ghost recon advanced warfighter on medium settings or even low settings? I just want to play game without lag.

What are the system requirements for the game? If you could copy and paste them here that would be great.
-
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
CD ROM: 12X
CPU Speed: 2GHz
Disk Space: 4.5GB
Display: Shader 2.0 Card With 128MB VRAM
Memory (RAM): 512MB
Operating System Compatibility: Windows 2000/XP, Not Mac Compatible -
Pickup the demo here, and see how it works.
For me, it kicks the poop outta my XPS (2.0ghz, 2gigs, 256mb 7800GTX, 120gig HD) when playing at 1920x1200, on med/high to high. I cringe at the thought, but I may try dropping it down to a non-native 1280x800.
The game supports AGEIA's PhysX physics accellerator. Theoretically, this should take quite a load off the CPU and speed the game up. Let's hope they offer the PhysX in a PCMCIA version. LOL!
Cheers.

EDIT: I could be hurting in the driver department also, as I have yet to update the ol' vid drivers. Just two more cents. -

That game is going to require a lot to run - and I mean a lot:

Check out those benchmarks, on the top-end cards. Even with a 256MB card, you'll have to use medium textures:
For the MX7525, the CPU is great and if you have enough RAM (I'd say minimum 1GB to play, 2GB would be nice), low settings will be playable . . the X600 is your bottleneck.

EDIT: thanks for the link to the demo, I'm dloading now. I'm interested to see how mine performs . . . -
Wow, thats insane!

I have always loved the Ghost Recon games. I remember playing the original one on his xbox. It was funny because I was so good at getting head shots and they could never figure out where I was shooting from. He finally sold it. lol
I can't wait to try the demo.

What are your guys video settings?

Yes it indeed requires a lot... People also recommend a PshyX card to do the other calculations...
I am going to download the Demo, hopefully it will support widescreen.

Demo was unplayable on my fx5500 - no surprise there. When and if I get my w3j someday I'm gonna try it on that too.

It's interesting that you still have to install the driver for the Ageia PhysX Processor even if you don't have it. I think the driver uses the CPU as a virtual PhysX processor . . I'll be interested to see how much of a difference having the card actually makes. Unfortunately, for us notebook owners, there is not much we can do about it.

Yeah, the game is a beast. I have an OC'd Go 7800, and I'm still finding myself fiddling with the settings to get it to run smoothly. The max FPS I'm able to sustain is about 42.....quite a big difference from the 80-90 I'm able to get with BF2.
This thing came out on the Xbox 360, so let's hope there's a dual core patch available to us Core Duo and AMD X2 users sometime in the near future.... -
i run it on my desktop, maxed settings and it is pretty smooth..now i need to find time after finals to play the demo more...

Yeah but look at your desktop
A X700 wont run that at maxed settings and smooth...

I ran it on my 9800XT, Pentium 4 3.2GHz, 2GB rig - 800*600, trilinear filtering, high effects, high dynamic shadows, dynamic lights checked, post effects checked. I'm getting about 24-32 FPS in normal gameplay. It's pretty playable.

Ahh...I hate my intel wireless card. After I start downloading the demo my wireless cuts out.
Of course that drops the connection and I have to start over. I guess I could use a torrent but I wanted to do it legally.
Oh well...

I just finished the demo on my desktop (didn't transfer to laptop yet).
It looks and feels like another console port from the Xbox 360. The graphics are not optimized for PC . . would run and look better had they spent a bit more time on it.
I hope we don't get too many poor console ports . . . Oblivion, and now this. CoD2 is actually excellent, but still is not optimzed for PC at all. Let's get some real PC games . . I didn't shell out $2k to play console ports. -
Just tried it on my notebook. 800x600, everything low, shadows off, dynamic lighting off. Averaged about 25 fps (as high as 32, as low as 12). Was not what I consider playable. Not that I would expect it to be on my machine...but thought I'd see how it handled it.
-
will a x1400 run it smooth?
-
Ogando, you would probobly have similar performance to me...maybe a frame or two more depending on your notebook's config. Our video cards are similar in terms of performance. So the short answer is: No.
-
winterymix our vid cards?
what you mean? I don't have an x1400 lol well, I'm looking for a laptop thats why I asked. What a shame you need either a non so expensive desktop or an expensive laptop to play it.... At the end I think I'll be buying something with a x1400/7400 just in case, but keep my desktop to play
