Hey guys, I've been awfully bored at school lately, and want to fire up Steam to play some Half-Life. The only problem is, of course, that the connection is firewalled and doesn't allow steam to access. I've been researching a little on Google and everything seems way over my head. I downloaded a program called FreeCap that apparently will allow Steam to go through a proxy.

Does anyone know how to set that up? What are some ways I can find a proxy server to do this? Thanks for your help.

Are you using wireless? Try using your ethernet. My school blocks steam on wireless

Thread closed. Discussion regarding bypassing a firewall(or other security measures) are prohibited by the forum rules. If you really want to play CS at school, I suggest that you contact your schools administration or Tech dept and convince them to relax the restrictions.

    I suggest studying. :)
