Is there a way to still run games as admin, but still run programs like... FRAPS, Xfire ETC.?

As far as Vista admin goes, I just turn of UAC. The next time vista asks me if I want to do the thing that I just told it to do, I'll punch a hole through the screen. If you think about it, it doesn't really compromise security: XP didn't have it and most people were just fine.

If you think about it, most people on XP had spyware coming out of their ears.

If you think about it, the idea of UAC is good. The Mac and Linux worlds have had this for decades.

(and if you think about it, it's about 70% of the feature list on Vista. Without it, you might as well not be using Vista ;))

However, Microsoft's particular implementation sucks. And lots of Windows software still doesn't follow the guidelines that applied even for XP or 2k, and which would actually allow programs to run fine with UAC.
