April fool's day? Yes of course! or is it not?
-
Oops.
I forgot it was april fools day. Sometimes nerdy passion for SC2 overrides common sense.
*hangs head in shame* -

I don't know why it would take long to create the next 2 expansions? They've already got the coding/gameplay down. Now all they need is a fresh story/campaign mode UI.

Also have to remember they are working on Diablo 3, World of Warcraft and the new unannoucned MMORPG. Blizzard said they would be running WoW and the new MMO concurrently. -
Its not so much about waiting until things are perfect.
Blizzard is a FANTASTIC operator on market CONTROL.... Blizzard leads the market in both RTS (arguably) and MMOs (Unquestionable). They know when their market share may possibly be threatened, and then take that time to launch a new game.
They are planning a new MMO out in a couple years, and that timeline is not a coincidence. They are thinking ahead, realizing that their MMO (WOW) will eventually lose its mega dominance as the market begins to get more saturated, and they will release "Titan" right about the time when serious competitors come out. -
I wouldn't be surprised if the 2 expansions, Zerg and Protoss are the lore being setup for Titan. Similar to WC2 and Frozen Throne for WoW - Lich King.
-
We shall see. So far there haven't really been even concept art for titan released. I'm curious to see if they make it have ANY ties to WoW (account wise). One of the big problems with EQ2 was that it split the playerbase between the people who wanted the new content and the people who wanted to keep their current characters.
-
So they finally gave a name to their new MMO. Is there any information out about it yet?
